| I'm back!! Not that I have really gone anywhere, but I haven't posted for almost a month so it feels like I've been away....just re-organizing my priorities, I guess. It's so easy to spend a LOT of time at the computer...sort of like going into some weird time warp mode and coming out hours later while the world has been passing by. I went to the Pictage Partner Conference yesterday and met some incredible people. I mean, there are some really, really nice people in this business, and I am talking about photographers. the kind that are really open to sharing ideas and helping each other out and realize that helping other people succeed, only brings about more blessing to yourself. Nathan and Amber Holritz, out of TN, are so cool!. http;//www.holritzphotography.com . David Jay said something to everyone that really spoke to me. "Your life is not here to serve your business, but rather, your business is here to serve your life." We get it messed up sometimes, don't we? Too consumed in our career while life passes us by...now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my job! I feel so blessed doing what I do, but sitting at the computer all day has got to go. So, interestingly enough, I've decided to get a life again, which means I'll probably have something to post other than the weddings I shoot. YAY1
So today I went and had lunch with this really cool new friend, we went to Maggiano's in Buckhead. ( Sorry Bradley, no pictures of what I ate.) But if you could smell through your monitor, you would probably be leaning WAY back wondering what the heck is that?!. I ate so much garlic that plants are wilting in the house and my husbandhas told me to go and drink some listerine. Seriously, I reek. I hope it's gone by tomorrow's wedding. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I wasn't.
My sister in law and some friends bake their own bread...they are hard core into healthy eating..I'm talking grinding their own flour from organic wheat ( did you know that a grain of wheat will hold it's nutrients perfectly until broken open, and then the nutrients immediately begin to oxidize? Within about 72 hours, 90% of over 30 nutrients are virtually gone.) White flour is soooo bad for you and they have made a commitment to really eat healthy. It's a big commitment, and time consuming, but the rewards are well worth it.. so I went by to watch the process and get motivated.
